Biography: A Professor of Food Microbiology and Food Safety with the Department of Food Technology, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. A member of the editorial boards of several different journals with high impact factors and he is the Editor-in-Chief of Current Bacteriology (USA). From 2007 to 2014, Prof Adegoke was one of the foundation members the World Health Organization`s Food Borne Disease Burden Epidemiology Reference Group (FERG) - a Group of Experts assembled by the World Health Organization on Food Safety. He is to date a member of the Joint Food and Agriculture Organization/ World Health Organization (FAO/WHO) Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA). His prior work experience included Head, Professor and External Examiner at different institutions in Africa. Prof Adegoke has to his credit 3 text books and articles published in his areas of competencies - food safety and food microbiology.
